Raising minimum wage will help the people on it afford the necessities they need due to the fact that they are only paid $7.93 per  hour in the state of Florida, and with a majority of their paychecks going to bills they will eventually need to get a second job, just so they can afford A/C, Heating, running water. As well as the fact they cannot afford the necessities they also could not be able to afford things we take for granted, like video game systems, television, electricity, gasoline, and other luxuries. With that in mind do you think that you could have your luxuries on minimum wage, because it would take you 25.22 months to be able to afford an Xbox One.

Even though It will help them have the necessities they need, They should not raise minimum wage because People on minimum wage need to further their education. To illustrate the lowest paying job of a Radio Announcer that requires a degree in Communications witch is a bachelor degree, and they make about $19.73 per hour. Another reason that shows that they need to further their education is more employers look at your resume when you are trying to get a job.

The most important reason the government should not be allowed to raise minimum wage is because Employers may have to make cut backs. To further exemplify, threw an economics perspective, raising the minimum wage would force employers to pay more, but by paying more they would then have less profit being made, so they will have to fire a bunch of people.

So it is clear that although It helps them have the necessities they need, the government should not be allowed to raise minimum wage for two main reasons. First, You need to further your education.
